Often times, the best gifts are often the easiest and most thoughtful. This double chocolate banana bread is an inexpensive and quick gift to bring to your host, your neighbors or your office for any occasion.
My Double Chocolate Banana Bread is a waste not, want not way to get rid of those yucky brown bananas and using ingredients that most likely are already in your pantry. I often whip up a quick loaf when I’m craving something sweet but don’t feel like running out to the store. Also, bananas are a main ingredient, so it’s healthy, right? 🙂
This recipe also gives you tons of room to get creative: instead of pecans, use walnuts! Cut the chocolate chips in half and add m&ms and/or pretzels! Think of this as a giant kitchen sink cookie: the world is your oyster here and everything tastes better with chocolate and bananas.
To give to my coworkers as gifts, I picked up these mini loaf tins from Harris Teeter, but if I had done a better job planning, I would have definitely ordered these festive red snowman tins from Amazon. Just double the recipe and you can easily make six mini loafs for next to nothing!
