We can’t get enough of dipping sauces! Steamed edamame is a simple appetizer or side dish that you can whip out on a moments notice when guests come over unannounced.
Soy sauce is your typical dipping sauce, but we wanted to put a healthy spin on the savory umami flavor. The issue comes when trying to find a good dipping sauce as soy sauce and even low sodium soy sauce can still contain >100 mg sodium per serving. We chose to use coconut liquid aminos in this recipe to obtain the savory umami flavor with out the added sodium.
We topped our edamame with sesame seeds instead of salt to help to limit that added sodium in the diet.
