I’m so excited to share this easy DIY gift idea with you! Exfoliating sugar scrubs are super affordable gifts, and you can make them with just a few pantry items and a mason jar.
Who doesn’t love using a luxurious body scrub or hand scrub? Since I’m partial to both, I decided to share two recipes with you: a lavender brown sugar body scrub and a lemon hand scrub for the kitchen! Both scrubs are all-natural, leave you feeling silky smooth, and are even edible!
To make things even better, Leigh and I worked together to create these printable tags. Aren’t they adorable? In addition to being quite the recipe developer, Leigh also has a knack for calligraphy! Download the lemon hand scrub tags here and the brown sugar body scrub tags here.
Think of these recipes as more of a guideline than a hard and fast rule. You can sub olive oil for the almond oil. Looking to use up some coconut oil? Melt that and use instead!
If you have other essential oils on hand that you’d like to use, feel free to substitute those instead. Peppermint or eucalyptus are both nice choices for the body scrub, and you could certainly use an orange essential oil instead of lemon for the kitchen scrub. The variations are endless, so get creative!
Pro tip: Want to save even more moolah? Cut out the essential oils and stick to vanilla or almond extract for the brown sugar scrub, and lemon extract for the kitchen scrub!
