Looking for ways to utilize your bountiful basil plant before the summer is over? I’ve been making this super easy garlic basil oil on repeat this past month. All you need is four ingredients and your food processor!
This recipe proves that the best foods are often the simplest. This oil is so fresh and just feels perfect over local summer vegetables, like tomatoes, corn, and zucchini.
Here are some ideas for ways to use this delicious oil (ahem, besides eating it straight out of the bowl).
-
- Drizzle over fresh tomato slices. Ah-Mazing!
- Drizzle over grilled vegetables, like zucchini and squash
- Toss on your salad greens
- Drizzle over popcorn
- Toss with pasta or spiralized veggies
- Serve as an appetizer for dipping with crusty bread
- Drizzle on top of fresh tomato tart
- Use in place of dressing on any of the following salads: tomato, cucumber + beet salad, summer bbq salad, or simple arugula salad
I’d love to hear your thoughts for any additional ways to use this yummy oil. Leave them in the comments below!
