Description
A great use for your summer basil crop! Drizzle over tomato slices or salad greens, toss with popcorn, or dip your bread in it!
Ingredients
- 12 oz olive oil
- 2 cups (loosely packed) fresh basil leaves, stems removed
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 garlic cloves
Instructions
- Wash fresh basil leaves, and gently pat dry.
- Add olive oil, salt, garlic and basil to the bowl of a food processor. Process until basil and garlic are incorporated. You can opt to leave larger pieces of basil in the oil, or you can process until the garlic and basil are puréed.
Notes
Like a bit of spice? Throw in a dash of red pepper flakes before pulsing in the food processor.
Store leftover oil in a mason jar with lid tightly closed for up to one week. Keep refrigerated. You will need to bring back to room temp before using.
