Whether it’s for Christmas Eve, an office holiday party, or a gift swap with your best girls, I am always looking for a festive appetizer to bring along during the holiday season. This year, I partnered with Milton’s Craft Bakers to make a Holiday Wreath Baked Brie to serve with their gluten free crackers that is as beautiful as it is delicious.
Like many families across the country, I have a gluten-sensitive sister and we are always looking for ways to make small substitutions for her. Enter: Milton’s Crackers.
They are free of gluten but FULL of flavor, and pair with my Holiday Wreath Baked Brie perfectly. In this recipe, I served my brie with their Everything Baked and Crispy Sea Salt Baked Crackers, and dare I say, I was reaching for the crackers without the brie on multiple occasions…
To make the wreath: I used dental floss to delicately tie 3 long springs of rosemary together and arranged the pomegranate seeds to resemble holly berries.
Go Totally G-Free: If you are looking to go full gluten free, I’d suggest removing the pastry puff wrapping. You can either serve the brie unbaked or bake in this 20 ounce Le Creuset of America Stoneware Camembert Baker for 5-7 minutes.
Only Use A Firm, Refrigerated Brie: From personal experience – make sure you don’t grab a brie wheel that is too soft. I’ll spare you the disappointing photo, but the cheese melts too quickly and won’t stay in the pastry. Still tasty, but not as photogenic. Also, make sure to keep the brie wheel in your refrigerator until right before you plan to bake so the wheel keeps its shape while cooking.
