Description
This delicious Pear + Prosciutto appetizer is perfect for any get together, and can be made in about 15 minutes. Best of all, it looks impressive!
Ingredients
- 1 pear
- lemon juice
- 3 tbsp. gorgonzola crumbles (or other cheese – see notes)
- 1 cup arugula
- 3 oz. pkg prosciutto
- 2 tbsp. balsamic vinegar
- 1 tbsp. honey
Instructions
- Slice pear into wedges, large enough to hold appetizer. Toss in lemon juice immediately to stop pear from turning brown.
- Layer 2-3 arugula leaves on top of pear slice.
- Press gorgonzola crumbles together into a bite sized piece. Place on top of arugula.
- Wrap in prosciutto.
- Stir balsamic and honey in a small sauce pan over medium heat for 4-5 minutes or until thickened.
- Drizzle balsamic glaze over appetizer and serve immediately!
Notes
Not a fan of gorgonzola? Try subbing slices of manchego, brie, camembert, or aged cheddar.
