As a two-time Whole30 alum, I know all too well that the morning breakfast struggle can be real. After day 10, I was just so. sick. of eggs. These Pork + Apple Breakfast Sausages were a welcome departure from the sugar-free bacon and eggs routine.
I love that you can make a big batch of these sausages and keep them at the ready in the fridge. I like to cut pieces of wax paper to fit my tupperware containers and separate each layer of patties with the paper. This keeps them from sticking to each other, and separates them into portions.
There are several brands of pork sausage that are Whole30 approved. Consult the Whole30 website for the most updated list of brands. I was thrilled to find that the Wholefoods 365 brand of Mild Italian Pork Sausage is approved with no sugar!
I like to serve my patties with mixed berries, citrus, or another fruit. They’d also be great with sautéed greens.
