Ingredients
- 1 lb asparagus, ends trimmed
- 8 slices Whole30-approved bacon
- 1/4 c ghee (or butter if not on Whole30)
- 1/4 c Grade A maple syrup (leave out if on Whole30)
- 1/2 tbsp. garlic salt
- 1/4 tbsp. freshly cracked black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees F, and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil for easy clean-up.
- In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt the ghee or butter. Whisk in the maple syrup, garlic salt, and black pepper. Turn off heat and set aside.
- Bundle 4-5 asparagus spears together and wrap the length of the spears with one slice of uncooked bacon. Place on the baking sheet. Continue until all the spears are wrapped.
- Finally, pour the melted ghee (or butter) mixture evenly over all of the spears and bacon. Bake for 15 minutes, or until bacon is crispy and spears are tender.
