Ingredients
Cranberry + Ginger Sauce
- 12 oz fresh cranberries
- 1 c sugar
- 1/2 c orange juice
- 1/2 c water
- 1/2 tbsp. grated fresh ginger
- 1 star anise
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- 1/2 tbsp. orange zest
- orange peel for garnish
Instructions
- Add sugar, water, and orange juice in a sauce pan on medium heat until the sugar is dissolved.
- Add cranberries, star anise, cinnamon sticks, and grated ginger.
- Let simmer on low until cranberries have started to pop and sauce thickens.
- Take off heat and add orange zest.
- Let cool and garnish with orange twist. These can be prepared up to three days ahead of time.
