Ingredients
- 1 can (28 g) whole peeled tomatoes
- 1 Jalapenos
- 4 cloves of garlic
- 1 lime, juiced
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1 1/2 tsp. ground cumin
- 1 small onion (white or yellow), chopped
- cilantro or parsley to taste (optional)
Instructions
- Chop jalapenos, garlic cloves, and onion. If you would like to cut down on the spiciness of the jalapenos, seed them. I prefer this recipe with one jalapeno, seeds and all.
- Empty the canned tomatoes with their juice into the food processor and pulse until pureed.
- Add remaining ingredients and pulse until desired consistency is reached.
- If you do not like cilantro but would like an added touch of green, parsley will brighten the salsa without adding any noticeable flavor. This salsa will keep in the fridge for up to a week.
